Words To Live By...kinda
Received this via email this morning...it was one of those "Chain" things that I dispise but I really liked the content so decided to share it.
ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully. TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other. THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want. FOUR. When you say, "I love you," mean it. FIVE. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye. SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married. SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight. EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much. NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely. TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling. ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives. TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly. THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?" FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk. FIFTEEN. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze. SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and responsibility for all your actions. EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship. NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it. TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice. TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone.

This That & The Other Thing
Stolen from 'others' .... Random Bullets OF....."Whatever"
1. My son flunked out of school. Am I happy?...NO...Will I Survive?....YES. On the bright side he has already put into motion the necessary steps to be reaccepted in January (which he will be doing on his OWN this time).
2. That SAME son is not coming home this summer, he got an apartment in Orono with a friend and is working. I miss him BUT I think it's the best thing for him at this point in time. It's time for him to learn to stand on his own 2 feet. He's even learning to cook.
3. My daughter is STILL in love. I like the the boy (wish he was a tad more ambitious)...I really hope that they continue to be happy together...at least until she graduates...lol (A happy child makes for a happy MOMMY!)
4. My daughter has a friend living with us this summer, Misty, she's a good kid and they BOTH go to work on Tuesday...full time...YIPPEE. I need for them to be working...
5. Above mentioned daughter got a speeding ticked...it's cost her $263 and she lost her lisence for 30 days...she'll be getting it back July 7.
6. Daughter 'loverboy' got a speeding ticket TODAY....$185 and will be loosing his lisence for 30 days...I hope that they have both learned a lesson here!!!!
7. Camp is OPEN and I've started Kayaking again...
8. Hubby had to let his employee go...High gas prices, insurances and vehicle maintenance were killing us. Hubby had a very hard time with this, but it is for the best
9. Work still sucks...but at least I have a job...
10. I go to curves 3 times a week with 3 other women. The work out is "OK" but the comraderie I share with the other women is "Priceless". I'm actually surprised at how much I look forward to the trips (The nearest Curves is 45 minutes away from me).
11. My brother and his wife want to have a baby...I am soooooo very ready for a baby in the family again...I hope it happens soon.
12. I'm headed to New York with my sister for 3 days in August, I'm looking forward to the trip.
I guess that's it for now.

Semi-Formal Week End
This week end I had two nieces who were attending 8th grade semi-formal socials. I went to both houses to watch the festivities. Becca, my sister's daughter and her friend Amanda went on Friday night, Bre helped with their hair and did their make-up. On Saturday we headed to Madison to see Julie's daughter Kristen and friend Sasha get ready for their dance, Bre did the hair and make-up for both girls, she really has a knack for that kinda stuff. I've been told that all the kids had wonderful times at their respective events. I know that I enjoyed being a part of the 'before' activities. They all looked beautiful and Bre enjoyed helping them get ready. This was the second time for Becca and Amanda and I was amazed at how much both girls had changed since last years. They both looked 'uncomfortable' in their skins last year. This year they looked right at home. AMAZING how much difference one year can make.
