Baby girl is sure that she is going to get mugged, I told her that if she did I'd be sure to get pics so that she can remember the momentous event, she didn't find me amusing...go figure! Well If, and that is a big IF, my cell decides to work I plan to do my audio post from Boston on Sunday. 'til then have a great one...I plan too. Kissing 101

Kissing....One of my all time favorite pasttimes.
My first real kiss happened when I was about 14 (I know - a late bloomer) he and I were snowmobiling (coincidentally this boy was also my first 'drink' & my first 'joint', another day another post) and stopped on the trail to 'take a break', he leaned towards me every so slightly and then his lips brushed mine, gently at first and then with a bit more intensity. I remember wondering how, when it was so fucking cold out, his lips could be so wonderfully warm. This lasted for only a short time but I knew right then that Kissing was going to become a very important part of my life. I 'practiced' several more times with this boy over the next few months and proclaimed myself a Very Good Kisser.

I did NOT sleep around in high school...but I did KISS around as much as possible, it became one of my favorite hobbies. I would often rate the boys I kissed, here are a few of the standouts...both good and bad:.
One boy used to think it was a real turn on to bite my teeth...yup that's what I said, BITE my teeth - this was NOT a turn on! do Not to this gentlemen.

Then their was one who must have been able to dislocate his jaw like a snake can because his mouth would cover my entire face...note to all: If you need a wash cloth when you are done 'kissing' you are not doing it right.

Then their were the ones who were tentative, meak, unsure; sometimes these ones could be taught...sometimes they couldn't be. It was always fun trying though.

Those with BAD breath - always a turn off.

The best:
Of course my first kiss will always have a special place in my heart but in retrospect, even though at the time it was earth shattering, it was not the best kiss I've every had.

There was a boy in high school who, in my opinion, was the perfect kisser. We never really dated but we were friends...you know the kind of friends who made out whenever the opportunity presented itself. Maybe the kissing was so good because we knew each other very well and we BOTH knew that kissing was as far as it was going to go and made the very MOST of it.

The 'bad boy' in school was a very exciting kisser - different from most of the others - maybe it was the element of fear, the unknown, but whatever it was I always looked forward to a kiss from him.

An unexpected Kiss can be great too, the element of surprise can add that little extra needed to push an otherwise average kiss up a notch or two.

I really enjoyed my 'kissing around' days and one of the things that I noticed early on was that the best looking guys were not always the best kissers, in fact they usually weren't. How odd is that?

In Conclusion class....always remember this:
The perfect kiss should be intimate, should make you feel like the most special person on the planet. It should never be rushed. It should never be forced. It should always make your tummy tingle and your toes curl. . My husband is a very good kisser....I'd like to believe that I taught him everything that he knows...or that he was just a 'natural' but the truth of the matter is that he probably liked to "kiss around" just as much as I did. I was very lucky to find a man who could live up to my very high kissing standards.

This is just my opoinion and I welcome and encourage any of you to share with me your idea of the perfect kiss.

Google ME

Did you ever wonder what you REALLY needed? Google your name and needs together, for example: Melody needs... and see what comes up. I stole this from Sue, it's a riot. Of course with a name like "Melody" it took alot of looking to find stuff that wasn't all about music.
Here's what I found out I needed:

1) Melody needs Airplay: well I guess that this could be fun...maybe I'll play the air guitar...or air basketball...or air tennis...I'll be I could be
good at "air"

2) Melody need help with her studies: the only thing that I study right now is a cook book and the weather forecast, but I could use some help with that

3) Melody needs to be stretchable: Hmmmm...I suppose that maybe my hubby would agree with that...or maybe it's more about multi-tasking?

4) Melody needs some work and a little variation: This is part false and part true...I do NOT need any more work to do..but a little variation would be a real treat.

5) Melody needs a sturdy hero: Hey wait a minute...is google reading my blog? How did they know about My spidey-fearing, hubby hero anyway?

6) Melody needs less stress: TRUE...'nough said

7) Melody needs drug treatment: NOT...but she does need some good drugs or drinks...

8) Melody needs to be reduced considerably: Ok now...really...have they been reading my blog...Weight is ALWAYS an issue

9) Melody needs to satisfy 3 critical requirements: Yessah...now I have something to fill all those vacant minutes in my day...I shall go right to work on those critical requirements.

10) Melody needs to change things up a bit: Nope...guess that they haven't been reading my blog...if they had been they'd KNOW that I do NOT WANT OR NEED ANY MORE CHANGE IN MY LIFE!

That was kinda fun and now that I know just exactly what it is that I need I can be completely fulfilled.

Ooooo...To Be 13 AGAIN!

This is Bre and Kristen-the birthday girl.

Hubby, Baby Girl and I attended at 13th birthday party for my niece Kristen. She had 8-10 of her friends over for an evening of music, games and water fun...well the water fun was NOT exactly planned but due the the downpours and the fact that it was an outdoor party...they just sorta happened. Kristen's mom, Julie and her dad Tim did a wonderful job of making the party a special event in their daughter's life. They set up a tent and decorated it with rope lights and paper lanterns, Julie out did herself with the food and the music was great. Julie did stressed out a 'bit' well actually a whole lot, over the preperations but I hope that she now thinks that it was worth it. The kids all seemed to have a good time playing in the rain and jumping in mud puddles and just visiting. It is so funny how kids one minute want to be all grown up and then the next they want to play in the rain....oh to be young again...oh wait..I DO like to play in the rain. Well anyway....I'm not going to say too much more about the party, I'll let Julie do that but I wanted to say that we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Thanks Kristen...for turning 13! Can't wait to see what's planned for 16!
